Only RRR and Radhe Shyam For This Sankranthi
By: Tupaki Desk | 1 Oct 2021 8:11 AM GMTThere is a major change in Tollywood's line up for this Sankranthi season. It is all but confirmed that Bheemla Nayak, and Sarkaru Vaari Paata, which were announced for release on the 12th and 13th January have been pushed to a later date. In all likelihood, RRR will be taking up the Sankranthi slot reserved by Bheemla Nayak - 12th January. Several reliable reports are claiming that RRR will be arriving in theatres on the 12th of January this year, a date initially locked for Bheemla Nayak. If RRR does indeed lock 12th January slot, there is no way Bheemla Nayak can clash with the Rajamouli directorial. So, a postponement is imminent.
Rajamouli was a bit sceptical about the Sankranthi release slot but he then decided to lock the same after much contemplation as he felt the Sankranthi holiday release will serve the film's box office prospects very well. This is one of the main reasons why the makers of RR locked 12th January release slot for the film. An official announcement on the same will be out in a day or two. Consequently, both Bheemla Nayak and Sarkaru Vaari Paata are vacating the Sankranthi slot. These two films will be pushed to a later date in order to make way for RRR.
As for Radhe Shyam, there will be no change in the release plans. The makers of RRR approached team Radhe Shyam, asking them to alter the release date but the makers of the Prabhas starrer are in no mood to alter their release plans. In all probability, Radhe Shyam will be locking horns with RRR next Sankranthi season. Given Prabhas's pan-India popularity, the makers of Radhe Shyam felt the film wouldn't be affected much by RRR, which will be arriving just two days ahead of the Prabhas starrer. So, as things stand, RRR is gearing up for worldwide theatrical release on the 12th of January and Radhe Shyam is lining up for release on the 14th of January. the box office clash between these two biggies will be interesting to watch. The new release date of Sarkaru Vaari Paata and Bheemla Nayak will be announced shortly.
