Till a year or two back, the overseas market is considered as the bowl rnof Tollywood that kept on giving. Some films which failed here became rnsuccessful there and it looked like a treasure to our producers. But rnsadly, the treasure is slowly getting empty as our films are losing rnmarket in the overseas.
Due to lack of proper judgement and rnspending on the rights heavily, the US distributors are ending up in rnlosses. This is becoming a common scenario for any big film there. Even rnsmall and medium films are not minting good amounts because of bad talk rnand online streaming sites. With all these things ringing around their rnminds, the buyers are hesitating to buy the films of our heroes.
Addingrn to this, our producers are quoting high rates even for films like rn'Ruler' and 'World Famous Lover'. This is why none of the films rnreleasing in the next three months were sold in overseas except for the rntwo big Sankranti releases. Since they are films from the US market's rnfavourites like Mahesh and Trivikram, both 'Sarileru Neekevvaru' and rn'Ala Vaikunthapuramlo' are sold for high rates. Hope that, they succeed rnand bring profits to the overseas buyers.
