Sanjay Leela Bhansali's period drama 'Padmaavat' had a flying start in the international markets like Australia, New Zealand and UK. 'Padmaavat' registered $ 367K in Australia by surpassing Dangal( $212k) and Baahubali 2($212k - only Hindi version) in Australia.
In fact, this is the highest numbers for a Hindi film in Australia. The movie registered very good collections in New Zealand ($64k), UK(97K pounds) through premiers. On the other hand, he also revealed that the film is able to collect Rs. 5 crore from the preview screenings on Wednesday despite its limited release in India.
