Paruchuri's positive satire on reviews!
By: Tupaki Desk | 4 Oct 2017 12:33 PM GMTParuchuri Gopalakrishna has been active on social media, majorly he has been releasing videos discussing filmmaking and writing for a film. His videos have become popular has he takes latest movie examples and their popular films to explain the kind of writing they had to do for over 40 years of their career in Telugu Cinema. As Paruchuri Brothers are gearing up for new challenge with Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy, he commented about latest burning issue of stars reacting harshly to reviews.
In his own satirical style, he explained how reviews have not influenced audience watching the movie. He took the example of their biggest hits like Khaidi. "When Khaidi release, we all got tensed as the reviews did not come positive. A review writer wrote with a heading, "Dwithartham lo Adavi paalu ayina Khaidi (Prisoner ends up clueless in the forest in second half of the movie)" , indicating the movie is not good in second half. But it is now revered as an action classic and made Chiranjeevi a star. Similarly, even M.S. Reddy's successful production, Palnati Simham has been termed a big boring film. The title of the review is "Katthi patta boyi sutthi pattina Palnati Simham (This lion of Palnadu ends up boring us)" and we have seen such reviews many, in our long career", said the writer.
He further explained how many reviews have termed their movies routine while some of them were different. "We wrote a story, Prajaswamyam with a guy who doesn't even get 10 votes becoming an MP and then a Minister. It is a new point during the time and no one has touched it. But reviews termed it nothing new. There are many instances like this in our long career and we can't really tell what made them to write like that. It is someone opinion and in India, everybody can express their thoughts. We shouldn't really be effected by them and appreciate if someone can give us a good alternative as sometimes, after reading a review, we can improve on our mistskes", concluded the writer.
