Powerstar Pawan Kalyan has an unmatchable craze in Tollywood which cannot be denied. No matter how his films turn out, his fans will always flock to theatres to witness their matinee idol on the big screen. There are a lot of complaints about the choice of his scripts recently but nothing matters to his admirers who shout their lungs out whenever he appears on the screen.

His latest release 'Bheemla Nayak' got a universal positive talk on the day of its release and the trade sources expected it to create a huge storm at the box office. But the positive buzz faded away quickly and a few critics started to comment that 'Bheemla Nayak' is overrated and had nothing great. They even indicated that it may end up in heavy losses in some areas due to the high prices it was sold for and the low rates the tickets are being sold for in Andhra Pradesh.

But Pawan Kalyan and Rana's film managed to cross the 100 crore market within eleven days of its release. Collecting such a huge share within a short span explains the stamina of Pawan Kalyan. What is more interesting is the fact that it is a remake of super hit Malayalam film 'Ayyappanum Koshiyum' which is available to everyone on Amazon Prime Video.

Unlike the regular films, 'Bheemla Nayak' doesn't have the tried and tested commercial elements which make the masses go crazy. There are no romantic duets or item songs in the film and there is no separate comedy track. With any such commercial ingredients, 'Bheemla Nayak' crossed the 100 crore share mark and it needs just 6 crores to cross the breakeven mark.

Pawan was seen as police officer Bheemla Nayak while Rana plays the role of Daniel Shekar who is the second lead. Nithya Menen was seen as the wife of Pawan while Samyuktha Menon played the role of Rana's heroine. Produced by Sithara Entertainments, Trivikram penned the dialogues and made changes in the script of 'Ayyappanum Koshiyum' to suit the taste of the Telugu audience. Saagar K Chandra directed this film while Navin Nooli is the editor. Thaman gave a thumping background score for this flick.
