Big B aka Amitabh Bachchan couldn't receive his Dada Saheb Phalke Award when National Awards were being awarded. He got a special invite to Rastrapathi Bhavan and President of India, Ramnath Kovind presented him with the award.
The actor and his family is on cloud 9 with the honor. He started his career as an actor in 1970's and he is still one of the most respected actors of Indian Cinema, across the globe.
He contribution to Cinema as a popular actor involves in portraying difficult roles, increasing the market and also, using his popularity to spread the good social relevant message on different platforms.
He thanked his fans on Twitter for all the love he received over the years,
"My immense gratitude and respect for this moment. When this award was announced, a doubt arose in my mind: if this is an indication for me to sit at home and relax after working for so many years? There is some more work I have to finish and certain possibilities are coming up where I may get a chance to do some work".
He flew with his son, Abhishek Bachchan and wife, Jaya Bachchan to collect the award. He looks really pleased, doesn't he? Congrats Big B!
