PIL seeking stay on RRR release reached High Court!
By: Tupaki Desk | 5 Jan 2022 8:18 PM ISTProblems continue to surround SS Rajamouli directorial RRR. The magnum opus which was supposed to hit the theatres for Pongal had to take a back step given the current situation. Several states going for imposing restrictions had forced the makers to announce the postponement of the release.
As another headache for the magnum opus RRR, public interest litigation (PIL) seeking the stay order on the release of the multi starrer had been filed in the Telangana High Court. A petitioner who has objections to the film had knocked on the doors of the High Court.
One Alluri Soumya had approached the High Court. In her petition, she alleged that the story of the celebrated revolutionaries was subjected to twisting and hence the required action should be taken by the honorable court.
The PIL filed against the Pan-India film is expected to come for hearing in a couple of days. We have to wait and see what the High Court will do over the PIL. The two-judge bench of the Telangana High Court expressed its interest in taking up the plea.
The magnum opus RRR stars NTR and Ram Charan as the main leads who will essay the roles of Komaram Bheem and Alluri Seetharama Raju respectively. Alia Bhatt will be seen opposite Ram Charan in RRR.
