Sandhya 70MM in RTC X Roads is one of the main theatres of 'Geetha Govindam' in Hyderabad. To encash the craze for the Vijay Devarakonda-starrer, Theatre Management sold the tickets for high prices by hiring few people.
Upon receiving various complaints about the pricing of the tickets, Local Police raided the Theatre and nabbed 6 people. 75 Movie Tickets and Rs 6,080 had been seized from them.
During the investigation, All the Six People confesseed that Theatre Owner Sumith Sandeep, Manager Ramarao, Representative of Geetha Arts Distributor Shankar and Woman identified as Subbamma had given the tickets to them for selling at high prices. In return, They will be offered commission. Case has been booked against those who were encouraging Black Marketing. All the main accused in this case have been absconding.
This is how most Theatres & Distributors try to loot the public. Only way to stop such fraudulent practices is shaming such frauds publicly.
