On the eve of Christmas last year, Pooja Bhatt pledged too give alcohol consumption. After taking the decision, She kept her phone in a silent mode, spent some time with her four cats, cooked the dinner by herself, drank a glass of water and went to bed. Being an alcohol addict, The former actress couldn't believe she actually survived. She didn't take even a sip of alcohol in the past 90 days and that's a huge achievement for her.
Pooja Bhatt claims to be having Scottish genes as her grandfather was Scottish. 'My father Mahesh Bhatt was a voracious drinker and it's no secret. So, Drinking came naturally to Me. Upon getting vexed with doing the same thing repeatedly, I realized alcohol isn't the solution for anything. My Father didn't touch alcohol for the past 28 years. Even that factor was of great help,' she discloses.
In 'Daddy' directed by Mahesh Bhatt in 1989, Pooja Bhatt motivates her Father to give up alcohol addiction. In real life, The 45-Year-Old is counselling herself to put end to the bad habit.
