A cheating racket was unearthed by the Hyderabad cops recently upon receiving multiple complaints. After the cheques given by the lady behind this bounced, the victims have approached the cops and filed a case. The money involved in this is said to be in lakhs. The main head behind the racket is the former wife of a popular actor.
Going into details, one Ramya Raghupathi, estranged wife of popular Telugu actor V.K Naresh, popularly known as Pedda Naresh had cheated multiple women on the pretext of making investments in the business to get good and high returns.
She operates in a way that she gets in touch with women and takes money from them, assuring that they will get extra income and high interests for the money. However, she didn't pay back the money. Upon the victims strongly demanding money, she gave them cheques that had bounced. This made them approach the cops.
As she is the relative of the former chief of the grand old Congress in combined Andhra Pradesh Raghu Veera Reddy, Ramya Raghupathi is also said to have used his name. As his name is popular, she reportedly used the goodwill he enjoys among people and used it for her personal gains.
With Naresh's name being mentioned all the time in the case, the veteran actor had responded to the issue. In the statement he had issued in this regard, the Nalugu Stambhalata actor had said that he and Ramya are not together anymore and they divorced each other a few years back.
Saying that such incidents came to his notice in the past too, Naresh said that he had condemned those issues as well. Mentioning the point that she and Ramya are divorced, the senior actor made it clear that he has nothing to do with the case. I have no idea what she is up to now, he said.
I have been getting multiple phone calls ever since the issue is exposed. My friends and relatives are calling me to know what is happening in the case. I have one thing to tell them. I have nothing to do with the case. I got to know about this recently, he said.
