Sharwanand has become one of the best box office heroes we have in the limited and medium budget heroes category. Until Run Raja Run came his way, Sharwanand struggled to make a name for himself as he continued to do serious films one after the other. Well, that reputation of a serious actor would have easily grabbed away the opportunity that changed his career, from him.
Prabhas is a close friend to Vamsi and Pramod, producers of UV Creations. In the initial discussions about the Run Raja Run casting, Prabhas thought Sharwanand will be a misfit for the role but Pramod convinced him otherwise. Prabhas shared this piece of information himself on the stage at the Pre-release event of Mahanubhavudu.
Prabhas said, "I thought Sharwanand who is a serious actor who does dark and moody roles cannot carry a funny man's role in Run Raja Run. But I got surprised watching his attitude on screen and such attitude is quite difficult to carry for any actor and I became his fan. Also, he is our hero now, he did three films for our production house and he will always remain a family member. Maruthi Dasari, the director is like a doctor for me. I laughed hard watching his Prema Katha Chitram and Bhale Bhale Mogadivoy. I hope the magic will repeat with Mahanubhavudu, making it a huge success!"
