Gopichand's life shocks this young director!

Pullela Gopichand is a famous name in not just Indian but World Sports these days. The legend has overcome many troubles to become a champion in Badminton and his win in England ensured that many more brilliant players are produced from India. He is the coach of players like Saina Nehwal and P.V.Sindu. Even Srikanth Kindambi is one of his protégés.
Such a story needs to be said on large screen and Praveen Sattaru, Garuda Vega director decided to take it upon him to make the movie. His Garuda Vega has made him a hotshot director and he is looking to make a different genre film once again for his next. He is excited about making Gopichand's biopic and he shared that the story of the sportsperson amazed him.
"Normally, for biopics we tend to add some drama to spice up the movie but Gopichand's life has more melodrama that we looking to tone down the drama a little bit. Everything is highly positive as Gopichand is more a positive person. Sudheer Babu suggested that we make the sporting legend's biopic but I had my reservations at the start. As I got to know the story, I thought the film is happening by itself. Few producers wanted to add more commercial elements and I rejected all of their offers. This story needs to be said as it is and we are glad to have a Mumbai based producer who is willing to go with our vision. The movie will be made in Telugu and Tamil," said the director.
