Pre-Release Piracy: Lucky Escape For 2 Films!

Pre-Release Piracy was the biggest threat to the Film Industry. What happened in the case of 'Attarintiki Daredi' was a rude shock to everyone. Luckily, The leakage didn't affect the Box Office outcome in any manner. All the films mayn't be so fortunate to hit the bull's eye even after leakage.
A Hyderabad-based Editor identified as Rajesh snatched Raw Footage of Films from Hard Discs. Some of these projects were either gearing up for release or on the sets.
Upon spotting screenshots of the raw footage of upcoming releases 'Geetha Govindam' and 'Taxiwala' in Krishna District, A small-time Director alerted Geetha Arts which bankrolled these projects. A police complaint was lodged immediately by the production house. Based on the IP Address, 17 Students of VIJT College in Guntur were arrested. Laptops has been seized from them. Few more arrests might happen in the coming days.
Prompt action prevented spreading of the content to crores of people for now. It's really sad to known that Students are involved in the pre-release piracy.
