Heroes Say No To Amazon's Conditions!

OTT platforms like Amazon Prime, Zee5, Aha and others are getting ready to buy the ready to be released films for good rates and stream them. But heroes are reportedly standing between this deal to go through as per sources. While the producers are reportedly ready to release their films directly on digital platforms, sources claim that the heroes are not ready for it. The conditions laid down by Amazon Prime is said to be the reason behind it.
Apparently, the heads of Prime Video are asking the heroes and heroines to promote and advertise the film's release on their site. Usually, the cast and crew promote their films and Amazon people are asking them to do the same for their site which means giving interviews on Facebook live, giving video bytes saying that their film is releasing on Prime on a particular date and don't miss it, etc. They are also demanding the producers to bear the costs of print and television promotions which may not be a problem for the producers. But heroes are reportedly saying no to these conditions. As per sources, they are saying that they will promote the film aggressively if it releases in theatres but not on digital platforms. This leaving the producers in a state of worry.
A Producers Guild meet has been conducted recently and the major discussion was reportedly about selling films to digital platforms. They reportedly looked at the logistics and decided to wait for some more time. Let us wait and see what happens in the coming few days.
