Supreme Court Responded To The FIR On 'Wink Girl'

The Supreme Coury today stated that no offence is made by the song under IPC Section 295(A). Priya Prakash Varrier became an overnight sensation after the winking video of her from her debut movie 'Oru Adaar Love' gone viral on the Internet. She became famous as the "Wink-girl". The video clipping is from "Manikya malaraya prove", a song from her Malayalam debut "Oru Adaar Love". The same song has made her face some controversies. Some people are offended with lyrics and a Hyderabad guy filed a complaint claiming that some lines in the song lyrics are offensive to their religion.
The song was released online on February 9th. A couple of weeks after that, complaints have been filed on the song lyrics but today SC has finally quashed the FIR.
