Wink Beauty Priya Varrier Reveals Difference Between Telugu And Malayalam Cinema

Wink beauty, Priya Prakash Varrier is eagerly awaiting the release of Ishq, which will be out in theaters this weekend - 30th July. She is hoping to get to winning ways with this Teja Sajja starrer. She hasn't scored a good hit in Tollywood to date and she is hoping to strike gold with Ishq, which is being promoted as an intense love drama with a realistic plot. The film is a remake of a Malayalam film with the same title and it is directed by S S Raju.
In her latest interaction with media, Priya Varrier spoke at length about Ishq and also her acting career.
"I feel I am receiving more acceptance in Telugu cinema than what I did in Malayalam cinema. I wish to entertain the Telugu audience for as long as I can. I might go back to Malayalam cinema once I receive good offers from Malayali filmmakers. But my current focus is on my career in Telugu cinema. The main difference between Malayalam and Telugu cinema is the difference in approach. Malayalam films are more content-driven, but as with Telugu cinema, the viewers expect more of a commercial approach. They wish to have a couple of songs in films and an adequate amount of action as well. There is a lot of contract between Malayalam cinema and Telugu cinema,' she said.
Speaking about Ishq, Priya Varrier says the film is an intense love plot and it will take the viewers on an engaging ride. "My co-star Teja Sajja is a very active person. He is a charm to work with. I had to maintain a lot of intensity while shooting for the film, given the narrative and the set-up. It was a new experience for me as an actor," she said.
Priya says Ishq is a very adaption of the original and she seemed confident that the Telugu audiences will lap up the film. "I have signed a new Telugu film and started shooting for it already. The project will be officially announced very soon. I am excited about this project as well," she concluded the interation.
