Priyanka Also Underwent Racism?
By: Tupaki Desk | 11 April 2018 12:18 PM GMTPriyanka Chopra is doing great Internationally and the actress is finding projects in Hollywood and in famous films, with big stars, that too.
She recently mentioned that she lost out on a role due to her skin color. Racism iz a huge offence in USA and around the world, but if it is happening still, we have to be ashamed of such people.
Priyanka said, "It happened last year. Somebody (from a studio) called and said to my agent, "She's wrong physicality" and my agent put it to me as "I think they meant want someone who is not brown", it affected me."
The actress has made a huge name as 'Desi' Girl in India for her skin tone and if someone from Hollywood thinks that is not right for their character, it is their lose.
We can take it in two ways, may be the director wanted a fair-skinned person and thought wrongly Priyanka is too. Or, her physique, which doesn't necessarily mean color might have not impressed him or her.
But putting it out such bluntly seems like racial discrimination. Hope, discrimination is not the case here and if Piggy Chops ever feels she is been commented in Hollywood or discriminated, Indians are always there to embrace our 'Desi' Girl.
