Producer Comments About Tollywood Drugs Case
X
Much is being said and done in regard to the Tollywood drugs case which took the industry by storm back in 2017. Nos, the case has picked up the pace again and the Enforcement Directorate has called the likes of Puri Jagannadh, Charmme, Rakul Preet Singh, Rana, Ravi Teja, and others for investigation. The ED is working on tracing the bank transactions of these Tollywood top personalities and determine if they committed any money laundering activities in connection with the drugs case.

While speaking about the sensational Tollywood drugs case, senior producer Natti Kumar made a series of highly controversial comments aimed at Tollywood celebrities and their managers.

"Tollywood celebrities are always subject to accusations whenever a drugs case emerges. This cant be a coincidence as it happens literally all the time. The fact that Tollywood celebrities are always accused of drug peddling and consumption cases needs to be taken very seriously. A detailed probe into this is the need of the hour now and it can't be delayed any further. I for one am demanding a thorough interrogation into the Tollywood drugs case. These actors have made it a habit to hike their remuneration and get used to luxuries after scoring a single hit. This culture needs to be changed."

"Also, the mangers of Tollywood celebrities might have a role to play in the drugs case. They are the ones who fix the remunerations for actors and take a hefty percentage for the same. These managers have amassed crores of rupees and they are bringing down the standards of Tollywood with their greed. Stern action needs to be taken on these managers as well. The investigating officers should take these managers into custody and track their bank transactions. Once the investigation is commissioned, they might find links to drug peddling and illegal sales." Natti Kumar said.

Natti Kumar went on to praise Andhra Pradesh government's 35 GO which restricts cinema ticket pricing. He opined that this GO benefits and gives a great opportunity for low budget films to succeed at the box office. He stated that the Telangana government should also implement this GO.
