Producers Showing More Interest In OTT Rather Than Theatres!

The government has given permissions to reopen theatres but the producers who are ready with finished products are still hesitating to release their films in theatres. Though the Dusshera festival is near, none of the producers are daring to release their films and interestingly, most of them are opting for OTT release since it is a safer bet.
To release films in theatres, buyers need to give good money to the producers and audience have to come into the theatres to recover the investments. Looking at the current circumstances, this process may not be that easy. This is the main reason why some big production houses are still negotiating with OTT platforms and even small films are willing to skip theatrical releases as digital release will assure you zero loss.
Producers who spent a lot on films with respect to the conditions before lockdown are not getting the same rates from the buyers now. So, they are reportedly opting for OTT releases till the situation returns back to normalcy.
