'PS-1' Trailer Talk: A Fierce Political Game For The Throne!

The much-awaited theatrical trailer of Mani Ratnam's dream project 'Ponniyin Selvan - 1' is here. It was launched grandly in five different languages on Tuesday night. Handsome hunk Rana Daggubati gave the voiceover for the Telugu version of this trailer which has the epicness and political drama written all over it. The 203 seconds trailer showcases what to expect from this magnum opus project.
It is clearly shown that 'PS - 1' is not all about jaw-dropping fights and grandeur. It is more about the power politics and the mind games every character play to achieve their goal. The glory of the Chola kingdom is presented wonderfully and what kind of high-level chess everyone plays in order to claim the throne makes it a very interesting drama.
There are going to be massive battles in this film but it is the fight for supremacy that grabs all the attention. All the drama in this trailer definitely reminds people of 'Game Of Thrones' but 'PS - 1' is Indian history and Mani Ratnam seems to have a winner in his hands. Vikram, Jayam Ravi and Karthi looked perfect in their roles while Trisha looked beautiful. However, it was Aishwarya Rai Bachchan who dominated everyone with her presence in the latter parts of the trailer.
AR Rahman's music for the trailer is top notch and you can feel every bit of drama with his terrific sounds. The visuals are fantastic as usual and we need to see how the film turns out to be on 30th September.
Produced under Lyca Productions and Madras Talkies banners, the cast of the film includes Vikram, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Trisha, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Sobhita Dhulipala, Prabhu, R Sarathkumar, Vikram Prabhu, Jayaram, Prakash Raj, Rahman and R Parthiban. Ravi Varman is the director of photography while Sreekar Prasad is the editor. We all know that it is an AR Rahman musical while Eka Lakhani designed the wardrobe. Action was composed by Kecha Khamphakdee, Sham Kaushal & Dhilip Subbarayan.
