'PS-2' Impresses The Tamil Audience Alone!

Mani Ratnam's magnum opus visual drama 'PS - 2' is out in theatres and reports suggest that the reviews are more positive for the second part compared to 'PS - 1' which was released last year. The Tamil audience have owned up this film and calling it a masterpiece on social media but the collections are not at all encouraging in other parts of the country. The movie has failed to register decent numbers in Telugu and Hindi-speaking areas.
'PS - 2' collected 100 crore nett in five days of its release and the Tamil version alone brought 65 crores which explains a lot. Sources claim that this multistarrer has the potential to cross 'Varisu' collections and stand on top of the list in 2023. But these collections are not on par with what the first part minted at the box office.
As we know, 'PS - 1' is the highest-collecting Tamil film and created an all-time record. The second part may not reach that level but whatever it may bring is going to be a profit for Mani Ratnam and Lyca Productions as they shot the two parts at once.
Academy award winner AR Rahman composed the music for this movie. Produced under Lyca Productions and Madras Talkies banners, the cast of the film includes Vikram, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Trisha, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Sobhita Dhulipala, Prabhu, R Sarathkumar, Vikram Prabhu, Jayaram, Prakash Raj, Rahman and R Parthiban. Ravi Varman is the director of photography while Sreekar Prasad is the editor. The action was composed by Kecha Khamphakdee, Sham Kaushal & Dhilip Subbarayan. Mani Ratnam is the director of this epic film.
