Puli Telugu Version Pre-Release Business

The Telugu version of 'Puli' has done an impressive pre-release business even though none of the films starring Vijay have been profitable here.
As per insiders, Theatrical rights of 'Puli' Telugu version and 50% of Telugu Satellite Rights has been acquired by SVR Media for Rs 8 crore. While SVR Media wishes to release the film in Nizam on its own, Coastal Andhra Rights have fetched Rs 3 crore and Ceeded has been bought for Rs 1.75 crore. On a whole, 'Puli' has to collect a share of anywhere between Rs 8 to Rs 10 crore for break-even.
SVR Media earlier tasted failure in the form of 'Thuppakki'. Even though the film has done fairly well at the Box Office, Buying the theatrical rights for a whooping Rs 15 crore in a circuit where Vijay holds 'zero' market proved costly. So, Now the distribution house is hopeful of recovering the loss with an adventure flick like 'Puli' in which Sridevi, Shruti Haasan and Hansika play key roles.
