Punjab, Haryana shiver as minimum temperature dips

Hisar and Narnaul in Haryana recorded a minimum of minus 0.1 and minus 0.5 respectively. Hisar had recorded a low of minus 0.8 Sunday.
Chandigarh recorded a low of 3.4 degrees, compared to 4.4 degrees Sunday morning.
In Punjab, Amritsar was the coldest with a low of 0.8 degrees and a high of 16.8 degrees Celsius. The city had recorded a low of 1.6 degrees Sunday morning.
Industrial hub Ludhiana recorded a low of one degree.
Met officials have predicted rain or thundershowers at some places in Punjab and Haryana Wednesday. They said that the cold wave will continue through the New Year's eve.
