Puri needs to wake up from slumber!

Puri Jagannath, the director of creative films like Idiot, Amma Nanna O Tamil Ammayi, Shivamani, Itlu Shravani Subramanyam, Pokiri seems to have surrendered to life's cruelty and never recovered from the jolts. Even though this comment could be personal, his lifestyle and opinions might have started taking over his sanity as well. The Puri Jagannath mark always meant that there would be something fresh and intelligent to look forward to but the man who blurred the lines between reality and fiction brilliantly, seems to be reeling in the misery of daily routine.
This does happen to many and each has their own way of coming out of it. But Puri Jagannath doesn't show the sign of coming out of such miserable status anytime soon. Man needs to understand that it doesn't take much time to lose out in any industry, to the next best thing. Even though you might be the best and intelligent around but the sincerity in the lame tortoise can win the race anytime. It is not just the ideas that let you make a movie or proposals but a good script. Puri Jagannath lost his magic and fire in the very department.
Till Pokiri, Puri Jagannath films were never predictable, you did not know if Shivamani is a love story or a cop thriller, you couldn't guess if Pandu gadu is Krishna Manohar in disguise, you were mesmerized by the relationship between Mahalakshmi and her boxer son and we can go on. The fire that drove him to the top looks like already cooled down and only a doppelganger of that old man, looking to confirm proposals with famous actors keeping the past laurels as investment exists today.
Still, he was able to get a nod from Kalyanram and Nandamuri Balakrishna, but his prized position of being chased by these actors for one film has been long lost. Well, Puri needs to wake up from his slumber to understand the reality and mend his ways.
