Parasuram is a protege of Puri Jagannath. Not many knew, They belong to the same family and share a brother bonding. Puri is actually son of Parasuram's Uncle.
Post the success of 'Srirastu Subhamastu', Parasuram revealed about the journey until he made his directorial debut. 'I hail from a village in Visakhapatnam. My Mom passed away due to cancer by the time I completed my MBA. Fearing depression, I landed in Hyderabad for a job. That's when 'Idiot' released. I knew Annayya Puri Jagannath since My childhood but realized his range after coming to here. The thought of 'why can't I be successful like him?' came to my mind. Jogi Naidu suggested Me to join as Assistant for Puri. When I approached him, Annayya scolded Me…'MBA Chesav, Foreign Velthanannav, Malli Identi? Nene Ninnu Foreign Pampista'. But, I was adamant about joining as Assistant Director. Annayya stopped speaking to Me for several days. Finally, He offered Me the Assistant with the recommendation of My Father. After working for Andhrawala & 143 with him, I worked with Dasarath and later team up with Bhaskar for 'Parugu'. Finally, I became a Director with 'Yuvatha''.
Today, Puri will be proud of the kind of films (Yuvatha, Solo & Srirastu Subhamastu) Parasuram have been making.
