When you hear about Puri Jagannath, how he suffered early and lost everything after finding big success and now is back to being rich, one thinks there is a lot to learn from him.
But the director has always been bit of a mystery to people around him as he does things in his unique style and never regret about them.
He sometimes pull off major surprises being bold but he seems to be not in major issue with giving his son's films to failed directors and newcomers.
If they seem to know what they are doing it is the best thing but when you bring someone who tried to ape you and failed many times, then it really makes no sense.
After Mehbooba, Puri Jagannath decided to not direct his son and gave scripts to Anil Paduri and Mallikarjun. Anil is completing the film while Mallikarjun is prepping his film.
Mallikarjun worked as Puri Jagannath's assistant for Badri and since then, he made films that tried to ape Puri style but none really delivered. So, giving an young hero to such a person might be seen as guts or lack of any regard for what the outcome will be.
We don't want to write-off a person just because of failures but the director seemed clueless maximum number of times. Let's see, with Puri supervision, if he can triumph?!
