Pushpa makers trying to postponed OTT release?

There are several reports claiming that Allu Arjun's Pushpa: The Rise will be premiering on Amazon Prime Video on the 7th of this month. The makers have been denying the 'OTT release' rumors but several reliable reports are indeed claiming that the film will certainly be arriving on Amazon Prime Video on the 7th of this month. Now, we are hearing that the makers of Pushpa are trying to postpone the film's OTT release as they are hopeful of its long run at the ticket counters in the North Indian belt. After watching Pushpa's performance in the Hindi circuit, the makers understood its box office potential and hey are now said to be requesting Amazon Prime Video to postpone the OTT release.
But the makers had already struck a 3-week OTT release deal with Amazon Prime Video and there is no going back now. Amazon Prime is aware of the hype surrounding Pushpa and the OTT giant plans to stream the film at the earliest in order to cash in on all the buzz surrounding the film. Meanwhile, the makers are trying to get at least the Hindi-version OTT release postponed as the buyers are mounting pressure on them over the OTT release window,

A few distributors had some losses in AP territory and producer will refund the losses. A win-win situation for everyone!" a noted Telugu media personality tweeted the other day, almost confirming that the makers of Pushpa are trying their best to get Pushpa's OTT release postponed. That is understandable, given the surprisingly good run of the film in the North Indian states.
But convincing Amazon Prime Video for a delayed OTT release is not as easy as it sounds. The OTT giant is said to be persisting on giving the film a 3-week OTT release, as per the pre-signed agreement. They are even moving accordingly. Sources say, Amazon Prime will be announcing Pushpa's OTT premieres date in a day or two. It remains to be seen if the efforts of the makers of Pushpa will yield any positive results now.
