Mahanati Makers Left Out "Pushpavalli"!

Gemini Ganeshan, Kadhal Mannan (Romantic Prince) of Tamil Cinema had a flamboyant romantic life in real life too.
He had a weakness for beautiful women and fell in love with many. Fortunately or unfortunately, one of them has been legendary actress, Savitri.
It is the love that she had towards him, spoilt her career and life, as well. She became an alcoholic to keep him by her side and by loving him the most, she became her own worst enemy.
Mahanati makers touched on this point and made a touching film as a tribute to her memory and work she accomplished.
Nag Ashwin delivered a classy tale and the movie is running houseful in two Telugu states.
But the makers in the final film edit, decided to cut off the portions of Pushpavalli, Gemini Ganeshan's secret second wife and mother of Rekha.
She had a weirdly cordial relationship with Savitri but those portions even though shot have been omitted out from film it seems. Is it due to length issue? Or did someone did not want that story to be explored on celluloid? We don't know!
Bindu Chandramouli, who acted as Pushpavalli, confirmed that she did have two montage shots and a scene with Savitri. She did get disappointed for not seeing herself on screen, but she thanked the team for experience.
