I Wished NTR Films Should Become Flops: People Star

People Star R. Narayana Murthy is known for revolutionary films. He has been making pro-left ideology films for the past few decades and he didn't change his route even though he received good offers for special characters from the top directors. He shared a few interesting things in a recent interview.
He said that he went to Chennai with Rs.70 with a dream of becoming a hero. He thought that he would get hero offer as soon as he lands in Chennai.. but he understood the reality later that lakhs of people in Chennai like him. He said that it was Dasari Narayana Rao garu who gave him support when he was struggling to get opportunities and struggling for survival. He said that he got opportunities in the film industry because of Dasari garu and he could settle in the industry because of him. He said that Dasari never asked him about details like his caste, religion, native place, parents.
He said that he had to float Sneha Chitra Pictures banner because hero offers decreased for him at one point in time. He thought that he should become a director to continue as a hero... to become a director he has to become a producer. So, he became a producer with the support of his friends. The first film 'Artharatri Swatantram' became a super hit and ran for nearly a year. He said that there was no need to look back since then.
Narayana Murthy also revealed another interesting thing. "I was a Nageswara Rao fan. When I was studying BA, I used to watch his films with my friends. I used to wish that NTR films should be failed. That was the fandom we used to have then. It was like sadism. We didn't know that it was wrong to think like that. I changed my mindset later after watching a few NTR films."
