Padma Shri for Vidya Balan! Why not Savitri & SVR?

Senior Actor-cum-Filmmaker R Narayana Murthy come down heavily on the partiality shown by Central Government towards Bollywood and ill-treatment meted out to Regional Cinema over the years.
At the condolence meet of Dasari Narayana Rao, R Narayana Murthy told: 'Padma Shri award was presented for Vidya Balan but not for Savitri and SVR who are Legends. It's time for Industry to remain united & mount pressure on Centre to ensure Dasari is honoured with Dada Saheb Phalke Award'.
'Dasari was the first person in whom I have seen the humanitarian angle in the Industry. He supported countless people in their bad times and helped them stand on their feet. It's our responsibility to fulfill the goals set by him'.
Not just Savitri and SVR, Even other stalwarts like NTR and Kaikala Satyanarayana haven't received Padma honors. There is an impression among public that those who have the influence can receive such prestigious awards.
