Lakshmi Rai, who is not much in demand in Telugu, is currently doing an item numbers and guest roles. Laxmi didn't get her due recognition despite having the right native sex appeal and oomph factor to impress audience. However she is managing to get heroines role in small ticket ficlm of kollywood.
Laxmi has been finalised as the leading lady opposite cinematographer-actor Natty aka Natarajan Subramaniam in upcoming thriller film. The film was titlked as "Bongu" an dit will go on floors this DecemberApart from Lakshmi actress Pooja Bisht will be seen as the second leading lady in the movie. "Bongu" will be directed by debutant Tej and it will have music by D. Imman.
Actors Kishore and Sharath Lohitashwa will be essaying important roles. She has recently grabbed a meaty offer in Tollywood. Laxmi will appear in Sardaar Gabbar Singh in which she would be shaking her legs with the Power Star. Apart from all above she will also appear in Murugadas's upcoming film Akira featuring Sonakshi Sinha as the main lead.
