By: Tupaki Desk | 13 May 2017 9:26 AM GMT'Happy Days' movie created sensation in Tollywood ten years ago. Director Sekhar Kammula made the movie with completely new actors and achieved superb success at the box office. Story of the film revolves around four youngsters and Rahul played Tyson character and impressed everybody. Rahul's new film 'Venkatapuram' released yesterday. During the promotions of the film, Rahul revealed interesting things about 'Happy Days'.
He said that "I was initially choosen for Nikhil's role. They asked me to adopt Shah Rukh Khan's body language in 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai' for the role. But they have asked me to do Tyson role later. As I was not aware of the script of the film, I thought that it was a comedian role. As I was a newcomer, giving me an offer itself was a big thing. Co-producer Aneesh told me that movie will be spoiled if I was with such a mindset. He said they have auditioned several actors for that role. He asked me to think about it and take a decision in ten minutes. I have immediately told him that I'm signing the film."
Going by Rahul's comments it is evident that Nikhil's Rajesh character in the film is inspired from Shah Rukh Khan. It is really surprising that a director like Sekhar Kammula has taken a characterization from another film.
