By: Tupaki Desk | 27 Jun 2020 6:37 AM GMTWith the theatres shut down from the past 100 days, the filmmakers who were adamant to have a theatrical release for their films are starting to have second thoughts. Small and medium films are slowly turning towards streaming sites and opting for direct OTT releases. As people may not show great interest in coming to the theatres during these tough times, they are finding OTT platforms as the best option. On top of that, Streaming sites are offering fancy rates to lure these producers.
'Krishna And His Leela' which is a rom-com was released on Netflix and is getting good reception. This is making the filmmakers reconsider their choices. Apparently, the makers of Raj Tarun's 'Orey Bujjigga' who pushed away the option of direct OTT release a few months back are now showing interest in having direct digital release. The team started promoting this film all of a sudden without announcing the release date which is making everyone to think that it is going to have a digital release.
Films which started doing sudden promotions these days are all getting OTT releases so people are expecting to hear an official announcement from 'Orey Bujjiga' team very soon. It looks like other small and medium films are also going to take this route in no time.
