Rajamouli's Big Promise To Top Producer About RRR

The stakes are exceptionally high on Rajamouli's larger than life creation, RRR, which is in the final leg of post-production. The film is all but certain to skip Dasara release, as announced by the makers initially. Now, the makers are said to be considering Sankranthi released slot for the the Ram Charan and Jr NTR starrer. One of the reasons behind the delay is the uncertainty pertaining to theatrical revenues in the northern India circuit. Akshay Kumar's Bell Bottom that was released recently turned out to be a box office dud. The abysmal performance of this film at the box office proved that the theatrical industry in the northern part of the country is yet to hit top gear.
However, Rajamouli has made big promise to top producer, Janthilal Gada about RRR's release date. Jayanthilal Gada, who had bagged the all-India theatrical rights of RRR (Hindi version) has requested the makers of RRR not to push the film's release any further as he had invested big bucks on the project. Any further delays henceforth can result in piling up of interests. With this in mind, Rajamouli has promised to plan Sankranthi release for RRR and he has promised Jayanthilal that the film will be out in theaters in the early half of 2022 at all costs.
The makers of RRR have gotten in touch with their distribution chain and have asked them to block the cinema halls across the country during the forthcoming Sankranthi season. The makers of RRR and Rajamouli are putting in their best efforts to release the film in theaters next Sankranthi season. Rajamouli has promised Jayanthilal about the same. If that is the case, RRR is certain to release in theaters next Sankranthi season and there will be no further delays in release.
