After successful completion of the operation, Doctors told him that he could survive for just another 14 Years. In 1988, He suffered a cardiac arrest again. Doctors couldn't operate because they found the heart so weak. Then, They told to ANR that he just have only few days. That's when, ANR told to himself - 'I survived for 14 years with the help of doctors & medicines, I will survive for another 14 years with my will-power. From then, Registration Numbers of his cars used to be 2002. Which indicates, Death isn't going to come near him till then. In 2002, ANR determined to stay alive for 9 more years. This man has challenged death. He got bored after surviving till 2011. That's when he asked Death to come whenever it might be. There are only two people with the track record of challenging Death - Bhishma in Mahabharat, ANR in Kaliyugam'.
Finally, The Filmmaker raised the question, 'Am I really worth accepting the award offered in memory of a great person like ANR? I know I'm not! I feel accepting such an award is like carrying huge burden on my shoulders. May be, I was honoured with this award to remind me that I have to put much more hard work. I will try to be worthy of that award'.
