After the super success of Rajinikanth's Petta at the box office, there are speculations that there will be a sequel to the movie. The latest report has been doing the rounds on social media that Rajinikanth and director Karthik Subbaraj might team up for the sequel. The talk is that Rajinikanth is evincing interest to play in the sequel.
In a recent interview, Karthik Subbaraj revealed that while making Petta, he did not have any plans of making the sequel. But, after the film's success, many kept asking and even suggested him to think of making a sequel and some even came forward with theories of possibles stories for Petta 2. "As of now, I wouldn't say that I have a story of Petta 2. But it could happen in future," the director said.
As soon as the director hinted about it, fans of the superstar are thrilled to see the duo team up again.
On the professional front, Rajinikanth will be next seen in the highly anticipated film, Annaatthe. Along with Rajini, Keerthy Suresh, Meena, and Khushboo will be featured in this rural drama.
