India's Biggest Super Star Rajinikanth Turns 70

Thalaivar has been entertaining the audience for more than four decades. He has acted in all the formats of films, including black and white, cinemascope, and current trend 3D and motion capture formats.
Rajinikanth made his acting debut with supporting roles. He started his career in 1975 with the critically acclaimed Tamil drama Apoorva Raagangal directed by celebrated filmmaker K. Balachander.
He tasted his biggest success in 1980 with the action thriller Billa (1980), a Tamil remake of Amitabh Bachchan starrer Don. He has appeared in 160 films across industries in his career.
From the middle of the 1980s, he emerged as the commercial hero and the new face of Tamil Cinema. His films made wonders at the box-office. His mass-image went to another level with Baashha.
Baashha movie gave Rajinikanth god-like status among his fans. His films even get dubbed into Japan. Rajinikanth enjoys a massive fan following across the globe.
