Is Rajini's Kaala A Serial?

Superstar Rajinikanth is presently working on '2.0' and 'Kaala'. While '2.0' is a big-budget extravaganza, 'Kaala' appears to be a complete contrast. Directed by 'Kabali' fame Pa Ranjith, the movie has had to face the trolls recently in the social media.
A family picture of Rajinikanth in 'Kaala' movie somehow leaked into the media and it has gone viral. Though official posters of 'Kaala' received huge appreciation from the audience, this poster had to face the heat of netizens. Most of them termed it like a photograph from a TV serial, not a pic expected from a Superstar film.
Some netizens went onto to criticise, Rajini..Dhanush that they are making a low budget flick eyeing on huge profits through pre-release business. We can't completely deny their claims because Rajini-Pa Ranjith Kabali was also a low budget flick, but it was sold for exuberant prices and the result is known to everybody.
