Rajnikanth has completed two movies, after Kabali, his 2016 release. Many thought 2.0 and Kaala, films will be his last films as he announced political ambitions on 1st January of this year.
The actor surprised everyone by announcing his next with an young talented director like Karthik Subbaraj.
Karthik, made a name for himself with films like Pizza, Jigarthanda and Iraivi. Pizza made Vijay Sethupathi, a box office hero and Jigarthanda gave new life to Bobby Simha and Siddharth.
Bobby Simha won National Award for his performance in Jigarthanda and Rajnikanth, after watching the film, asked the young director, why he did not consider him for the role.
The movie, Jigarthanda, created a huge sensation and it has a cult following in non-Tamil speaking audience too.
Even Rajnikanth gave him an offer after watching the film. Karthik made an announcement after Iraivi, that he has plans to make a film with Rajnikanth and claimed to be his biggest admirer.
Now, when his next movie is announced with Dhanush, recently, many thought his plans to direct Rajnikanth have to scrapped as the actor is diving into politics.
But, the latest announcement has shocked everyone and that too a big production like Sun Pictures, behind the project has made many discuss about what could be the story and concept of the film?
