Indian film makers are trying their best to grab an Oscar in the Best Feature Film In Foreign Language Category which is not happening. Many times, the officially selected movie among the hundreds of Indian movies is being rejected in the initial stages itself. The same has happened even this time. The movie Newton that was selected from India was declined from the preliminary round of Oscars which is a disappointing thing.
The movies from Chile, Germany, Hungary, Russia, Izrail, Lebanan, Senegal, Sweeden and South Africa were selected by the jury. Five films from this list will be short listed and it will be announced on 23rd. 90th Oscars event is taking place on 18th March.
Newton movie has Raj Kumar Rao in the lead. Amith is the director of the film that has an interesting premise.
