Rajni Dedicates His Prestigious Award To His Good Friend!
By: Tupaki Desk | 2 April 2021 6:24 AM GMTRajnikanth is a superstar who doesn't need awards to define his stardom. His craze has crossed the boundaries and his mere walk can make the audience go gaga in theatres. He was given many awards as a sign of respect towards his amazing journey and the government recently announced him as the receiver of Dada Saheb Phalke award.
While congratulations poured on him from all corners, Rajni has shown his humility and simplicity by dedicating his award to people who stayed by his side during his struggling days. He said, 'I dedicate this award to my friend and bus driver Raj Bahadur, who was one of the first persons to discover my acting talent and encouraged me, my elder brother Sathyanarayana Rao Gaekwad, who sacrificed a lot for me while struggling with poverty, my guru K Balachander, who created this Rajinikanth.'
Rajnikanth is the third person to receive this award from Tamil film industry after late Shivaji Ganesan and late director Balachander. He is also the 12th South Indian to get this award. He wrote, 'My heartfelt thanks to the government of India, respected & dearest @narendramodi ji, @PrakashJavdekar ji and the jury for conferring upon me the prestigious #DadasahebPhalkeAward. I sincerely dedicate it to all those who have been a part of my journey. Thanks to the almighty.'
