This rustic action drama based on red sanders smuggling grabbed the attention of the public and the first part managed to become a huge success due to Bunny's performance, Sukumar's storytelling and DSP's banging music.
The film got a mixed talk on its first day in Telugu states. Despite all that, the film grew on people and turned out to be one of the biggest hits in 2021. The songs were a massive hit across the nation and everyone started using 'Pushpa' dialogues and mannerisms in their day-to-day life. Allu Arjun became a pan-Indian hero after 'Pushpa' and many Bollywood celebrities are claiming it as their favourite movie.
The latest to join this list is Punjabi girl Rakul Preet Singh. During a live session on Instagram, Rakul was asked about her favourite South Indian movie in recent times. Without a second thought, she said it was 'Pushpa' and even did the 'Thaggede Le' mannerism of Bunny.
As we know, Rakul worked with Sukumar for 'Nannaku Prematho' and romanced Allu Arjun in 'Sarrainodu'. 'Pushpa' is set in the backdrop of red sanders smuggling and it is released on a pan-Indian scale. It was dubbed in Tamil, Hindi, Kannada and Malayalam languages. Rashmika played the role of Srivalli in this film while Malayalam star hero Fahadh Faasil played the role of Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat. Actors like Ajay Ghosh, Sunil, Anasuya and others played negative roles in this high-budget film. Devi Sri Prasad gave the music while Mythri Movie Makers bankrolled it.
