No Smartness In iSmart Shankar Business
By: Tupaki Desk | 10 May 2019 6:26 AM GMTPuri Jagannath is one of the few directors in Tollywood film industry who enjoys a fan following equal to that of a star hero. The director delivered blockbusters with almost all the star heroes of the industry and is currently struggling with a series of debacles. Puri is eyeing on a strong comeback and started iSmart Shankar with Ram Pothineni. So far, the director who is also pooling the resources for the movie has made every possible attempt to attract the attention of everyone towards the movie.
Since the film is in the production mode and the film unit is expecting some more funds to complete the project, the director has started the business of the movie. Puri wants the film to be sold around 15 crores for the entire country but the buyers are least interested with the price.
The trade buzz states that the buyers are quoting 12 crores considering the recent track record of both Puri and Ram. Either of the two had a solid blockbuster in the last two to three years and their market only worsened slowly. In spite of the negativity and criticism, both the director and actor are focused on movie making but the trade is not very encouraging for them.
Much to their disappointment, films like Kalki and a few others are faring well in the trade but iSmart Shankar is not able to attract the buyers. If the makers fail to strike a deal, they certainly have to compromise in closing the business. But, to what extent will the negotiations extend is the biggest question in the trade now!
