One of the big stars in Kannada cinema Puneeth Rajkumar passed away earlier last week due to a cardiac arrest. He breathed his last at the Vikram hospital in Bengaluru while undergoing treatment. Puneeth Rajkumar was rushed to the hospital after he complained of chest pain on the 29th of October.

Mega Power Star Ram Charan had flown to Bengaluru to meet the family members of Puneeth Rajkumar and consoled him. Ram Charan paid respects to the beloved actor. He spoke to the media after meeting the family members. The Mega Hero turned emotional while talking about Puneeth Rajkumar.

Speaking to the media, Ram Charan said, he is unable to believe that Puneeth left us. It feels like I lost a family member. Puneeth is a great human being and I had the privilege to meet him. I learned a lot from him, Ram Charan said.

Puneeth Rajkumar had good relations with the Tollywood industry and had bonded with heroes in the industry. Tollywood Film Fraternity mourned the death of Puneeth Rajkumar and reached Bengaluru to pay their last respects to the star. Heroes like Megastar Chiranjeevi, Nandamuri Balakrishna, Venkatesh, Rana, Junior NTR, Actor Srikanth, Ali, and others have paid their last respects.

Puneeth Rajkumar was laid to rest at the famous Kanteerava Studios in Karnataka capital Bengaluru. The state government gave full honors to the actor. Puneeth Rajkumar was wrapped in tricolor. Kanteerava studio was the place where Puneeth's father, Kannada thespian Kanteerava Dr. S. Rajkumar was laid.

Political figures also took part in the last rites of the actor and paid their last respects. Current Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai and former Chief Ministers B S Yediyurappa and Siddaramaiah and others were present while bidding a final goodbye to the Kannada Power Star.

After Puneeth Rajkumar breathed his last on Sunday, the Karnataka government announced a high alert in the state and the theatres and liquor stalls were shut. Police personnel were deployed in big numbers as a precautionary measure. A few fans who were unable to digest the news have taken an extreme step and ended their lives.
