Ram Charan Needs Promotion Classes From Rajamouli!
By: Tupaki Desk | 19 Sep 2019 10:57 AM GMTThis is not what we feel but even trade pundits are having same opinion. When Sye Raa promotions started with a teaser before 22nd August and National media took interviews of Megastar Chiranjeevi and Ramcharan, many thought Sye Raa team is aggressive in pushing the film Pan-India.
But the actor-producer let all the momentum die down like soda bubbles after initial fizz and the trailer did not bring much National media attention.
Pan-India market is not easy to grab and Rajamouli with the help of Baahubali producers aggressively pushed Baahubali- The Beginning in every city, town, village in every nook and corner of India.
Then he went to associate with a brand like Dharma Productions for nominal amounts. Karan Johar gave them the tag, "India's Biggest Movie" and that clicked quite well. Many wanted to watch the film and got hooked to #WKKB cliff hanger.
But in Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy case, trailer shots looked more like a cross between Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Salman Khan film than an original vision like Baahubali to Hindi viewers. Some did like it but media ignored the trailer.
While bigwigs did tweet about it, the trailer satisfied Telugu Mega fans but did not grab the eye of Indian audiences on the whole. The push for the movie has always been as a Pan-Indian Film from Megastar Chiranjeevi, but such unenthusiastic response from National media shows is more due to lack of aggressive push from Ram Charan and team.
He may have to take some lessons from SS Rajamouli with whom he is working on RRR and see how well he promotes his films. With 2-3 weeks for release may be Sye Raa team lost ground but battle is still on and some kind of aggressive might salvage the situation.
If they leave it like this, Sye Raa will be world famous movie in Telugu states than being a Pan-Indian film like Baahubali.
