The biggest complaint against Sukumar is the manner in which he shoots at a snail pace. All of his films have missed deadlines because of his uncompromising nature when it comes to achieving perfection. Now, 'Rangasthalam 1985' is getting affected because of the same reason.
Initially, This Ram Charan-starrer was supposed to release for Dussehra 2017. By the end of First Schedule, Makers have come to the conclusion that it's not gonna work and announced the release for Sankranthi 2018. But now, #PSPK25 is gearing up for Pongal release. Which means, 'Rangasthalam 1985' has to arrive either before or after Sankranthi season.
Preponement of 'Rangasthalam 1985' isn't going to happen because the shoot isn't happening at a good pace. While Sukumar was busy promoting 'Darsakudu' until recently, Now Cherry is taking care of 'Sye Raa' pre-production work.
The latest update in Film Circles is that 'Rangasthalam 1985' might release on April 20th next year.
