Can Charan Risk it all for Mani?

Mani Ratnam, a legend and a fancy name for many young filmmakers to use in the interviews as an inspiration. Even if they try and understand any kind of nuances that this maker can bring on screen, the young directors can easily make much better films than they dish out. But for the actors, he is the man who can change their image. He is the man who can bring out their hiding acting skills that no one has noticed yet.

For Nagarjuna, Karthik, Rajnikanth and even Kamal Hasan the above statements hold true with the makers films like Geetanjali, Mounaragam, Thalapathy and Nayakudu. The ultimate finds of Mani Ratnam are Aravind Swamy and Madhavan. They looked handsome on screen in the roles written by the master and he gave them everything they can boast about today on platter. All this has been past and at present the same doesn't hold valid.

Except for Dulquer Salman in OK Bangaram none of his heroes were liked from his previous movies like Goutham Karthik from Kadali, Karthi from Cheliyaa. Both were not termed bad but they were not liked to the level they were expecting as well. So, well-wishers of Ram Charan are going on a overdrive to convince Ram Charan from not commiting a mistake. But the actor already gave an outdated director like Krishna Vamsi, a chance in Govindudu Andharivadele. How about him doing the same for Mani? Already, the hero said, it is the director's words that made him change his path since Dhruva. Will he take a risk by going with Mani Ratnam's movie just to keep his word? We have to wait and see!
