Ram Charan to take the OTT route with Netflix web series

Ram Charan is currently awaiting the theatrical release of RRR which is due for worldwide release on the 25th of March. The stakes are high on the project and Ram Charan is likely to attain pan-India stardom with the Rajamouli directorial. Meanwhile, the latest updates are suggesting that Charan is set to take the OTT route with his forthcoming project which will be created and conceived by none other than world leading OTT giant, Netflix.
Apparently, Netflix is planning on roping in Ram Charan for their original web series which will be mounted on a lavish scale. The OTT giant hopes to expand its market down south with the series and they see Ram Charan as the right superstar to achieve the same. They are aware of the fact that Charan will turn a pan-India superstar post the release of RRR and there is no better time to plan a web series with him than now.
Charan too had been open to the idea of starring in a web series for a long time now and he certainly would give it a thought if a top OTT player like Netflix comes knocking on his doors. Charan might well be tempted to feature in the series if Netflix comes with the right content. So, the ball is in Netflix's court now and it is upon them to come up with a winning script that has the pitential to impress Charan.
It is heard that Netflix plans to remake an USA web series and make cosmetic changes to it in order to suit the sensibilities of the Indian OTT audience. It will also mean that Charan will have a reference point to look up to and he can then take the final call on the project. But it is all too early to comment on as the project is still in the discussion stage now.
If Charan does make his OTT debut with Netflix, it would be safe to say that his market will grow beyond leaps and bounds as the OTT is one of the promary sources of entertainment to the pan-India audience now. Featuring in a Netflix original series will give Charan a much wider exposure and boost his image post RRR.
