RGV Got Profits With Officer Movie

Just like how Akkineni fans expected, hero Nagarjuna and Ram Gopal Varma's latest release Officer movie became a disaster at the box office. Ever since Nag announced his project with RGV who is not at all in the form these days, the fans have been a little bit tensed. However, as the previous movies which came out in the same combo became super hits, they hoped that Officer also will become a hit. But the movie utterly failed to impress the audience.

As the distributors realised that the losses are inevitable, they started calculating the loss percentages. Ram Gopal Varma is also producer of this film. So, the audience might get a doubt about how much Varma has lost with this film. But as per the reports, RGV got profits with this film. The reason behind it is the low budget. Instead of investing huge amounts, the team has completed the shooting in the nearby places of Mumbai. It is Varma's speciality to do movies with low budget but high technical values. The overall amount he invested in the movie is just 8 crores.

Theatrical rights of the movie in the Telugu States got sold for 6 crores and combining the satellite as well as the digital rights he can pocket another 10 crores. Except the hero Nagarjuna none of the other actors need huge remunerations. So even though the movie became a flop, there is nothing Ram Gopal Varma has lost.
