Ramdev Baba's Patanjali Comes With A Plan To Cure COVID-19

In the wake of the rise of the positive cases in India, Patanjali Ayurveda owned by Baba Ramdev has come up with a proposal to make a drug that could cure the pandemic.
In this regard, Patanjali Ayurved submitted a proposal to the Centre on the "treatment and prevention" of COVID-19 by using the medicinal herbs along with the allopathic medicine hydroxychloroquine, an anti-malaria drug.
The Patanjali Research Institute (PRI) based out in Haridwar that functions under the Patanjali Ayurveda prepared the proposal in which it stated that phytochemicals in ashwagandha, giloy and tulsi have the potential to fight COVID-19 virus.
Earlier, the company has submitted a research paper for peer review to a medical journal, Virology, which stated that ashwagandha herb stops the entry of the highly infectious novel coronavirus into the human body.
"Our data, for the first time, show that natural phytochemicals could well be the viable options for controlling Covid-19 entry into host cells, and 'ashwagandha' may be the first choice of herbs in these directions to curb the Covid-19 infection," research did by the Patanjali company stated.
